What we stand for..
The KMR Collective
A Wearable Art Founded in Early Spring 2016
A collective of like minded enthusiasts drawn together by Art, Gaming & Automotive Culture, that strive to royally better themselves in all aspects from the physical to the mental. Being born in the Philippines in the early 90's, but then being brought up in North America, it's creator Bertrand C., Also known for his Moniker 'Birdy', has been heavily inspiring from that era's culture, in it's gaming and decade specific gadgets as well as the once celebrated Saturday Morning Cartoons. But also drawing a lot of inspiration from the Otaku subculture of Japan, mainly in Manga and Anime.
Formerly known as Legacy Kids, Kings Must Rise is a childhood dream.
Kings Must Rise began as a side project in school that would grow into an internationally known underground clothing brand. After graduating from ACAD (Alberta College of Art & Design), KMR was grown further by Birdy, in the beginning, as an experiment to find utility in apparel as well as to create comfortable but stylish daily wear. Mainly, but selfishly for himself. Little did he know, other people would want a slice. Since then, customizing and developing apparel has become more than just an outlet that's allowed the creator to extend his artistic abilities to fuse art with clothing onto, but it's also become an outward expression of all of the combined interests from gaming and anime that have all shaped us in some form.
We believe in the expression of individual character. Our brand has an aim to be outstanding. An ideal that we believe should be embraced more often is the uniqueness in one's personal chosen character. Be you, the one who never fears being wrong, because it will show to you the truth. The one who never fears judgement because it reveals to you who is meant to be in your circle. There are ones who grow more stronger, faster than others, because they are the ones who go through the most hardship. If you believe you are worthy, do everything in your power to rise. But also let 'Kings Must Rise' be more than just a mantra, it's an environmental statement, a reminder saying "There will Never be Another you."
